The Poor People’s Campaign: How to Get Involved

The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival is named after the movement Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. organized in the months leading up to his assassination. It is picking up where Reverend King and his team left off. The movement aims to combat the evils of systemic racism, poverty, ecological destruction, militarism and the war economy, and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism. Originally, they had a protest planned in Washington D.C. for June 20^th, 2020. However, since the pandemic has hit us, the protest has gone digital! The next few weeks are going to be essential and there are several ways to get involved, if you so feel compelled. Since this protest has gone digital, organizing for action looks a little different than your traditional protest. But considering our world is in a state of chaos, now is the perfect time to organize, engages, and achieve Social Justice!
