We arrived in Jordan last night and today went with the Orthodox Initiative, a ministry of the Middle East Council of Churches, to a refugee camp of about 300 persons, just a kilometer or two from the Syrian border. Each year we give thanks for the blessing of creation with a special service inspired by St. Francis of Assisi. Our intrepid mission team left Berea at 6am for their trip to Back Bay Mission in Biloxi, MS! They will be working both on hurricane recovery and assistance with homeless families. They’ll keep you updated throughout the trip, and they covet your prayers for both their safety and well-being of those they serve.
