Prayer for the Week — May 12th

We celebrated mothers and our youth this Sunday.  Hamrick Walters, our youth preacher for the week, reminded us of Jesus’ fervent prayer that we all be one, and the many ways in which our unity can be cherished.  Here’s a prayer for this week:

Our Mother and Father God, we give thanks for the ways in which you gather us under your wings, nurture us, and when necessary, push us out of the nest.  As we honor all those who try to follow in your footsteps through the great task of motherhood, we ask you to guide each of us in being nurturing and caring to the world around us.  Help us to unite as your children, and guide us to dwell together as one in your house.  Amen.
