Prayer for the Week — April 15th

This week’s prayer is based on John 21:1-19, in which Jesus appears after the resurrection to this disciples, who are fishing.  He fills their nets with fish, and then charges Peter to go out and to show his love for Jesus by feeding Jesus’ sheep.  Blessings to all of you this week.  — Rev. Rachel

God, who has caught us in your net, spread that net wide and deep to capture all those who are hurting and struggling, all those who need your loving care.  Catch us, equip us, and guide us, and lead us into the fields with your sheep.  Show us your abundance, and empower us to toil for you in the fields of your beautiful creation.  We offer ourselves to you as we pray to you, our great Shepherd.  Amen.
