Poor Peoples’ Campaign Watch Party Tonight! 7:00 pm
Hey Union Church! To make up for last week’s confusion about the watch party, I am excited to share that this week, there will be two different watch parties you can get involved in.
On Tuesday at 7pm EST, there will be a livestream video from the Poor People’s Campaign with the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. and the Council of Presidents. I made SURE it is going on Facebook this time. They will be discussing the impacts of systemic racism, poverty, voting rights, healthcare and Covid-19 in the black community. It should be a very interesting discussion!
This Thursday at 8:30PM EST, the 3rd Poor People’s Campaign Digital Mass Meeting w/ Rev. Dr. William J Barber, II and Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, featuring testifiers from Florida, Mississippi, Nevada and Tennessee. You can check this event out here. This event will feature speakers talking about important issues they are facing in their own community. This event will certainly be an emotional livestream!
