• August 5 – Come celebrate Kent & Diana’s first wedding anniversary at a Coffee Hour celebration after worship. If you can bake some gluten-free treats for the occasion, please call Barb Smith at 582-0368.
• Babysitter needed: Lois Morgan’s neighbor, Allison, needs a sitter for three girls 3,5 and 7 beginning August 9 (when school starts) from 2:30 – 5 pm four days a week. Call Allison at 595-3680.
• Welcome to our newest member, Emily Hoskins, who joined in July!  
• Joan English’s (Office Administrator)parents, George and Elsie Hardman are coming to Berea to live with Joan at 207 Peachbloom Hill around August 8. Please keep the family in your prayers. If you can cover the office August 6, 7, 8 or (possibly) 9, please call. 986-3725.
• Congratulations to church members, David Bellnier and Laura Howard, who married at the church on July 28!
• Dodie Murphy has been accepted to EKU for a writing MFA! Congratulations!
• With sorrow we grieve the death of Cheyenne Olson’s sister who passed away in Kansas recently. A memorial is planned for later in the summer or fall.
• Teri VanPelt and Christine Ward are celebrating the birth of their first grand child: Hope Olivia Ward born to Chris Ward and Harley Lovelace born at 5:54 on ,07/11/2018 . She weighed 7.4 lbs and was 19.5 inches long
• Baby Vera Stevens Garrett was born July 11. She is welcomed by Mary Robert and Andrew, and big sisters Claire, Paige and Ella. She weighed 9 lbs, 7.5 oz. and was 21.5 inches long at birth. Congratulations to her parents https://mealtrain.com/20vm3q
• Cookies are needed for August 19’s God on the Quad – it’s an afternoon meet & greet for incoming students on the Berea College Quad and we like to give them a bit of snackie hospitality.  You can bring them to the church office.
• Flying Solo Widow’s Support Group is resuming its meetings on the third Tuesday of the month at 1 pm in the Wayside Room. Those who have lost a spouse to death will be made warmly welcome. 
• Mark your calendars! ReKindle the Spirit Day will be September 9.
• The Mission Board received a lovely thank-you note from Meredith Wilkinson, who received a donation to her upcoming trip to Guatemala thanks to a generous bequest from Michelle Tooley.

Your love and support carried me through Gary’s illness and death.
