Rev. Rachel received word on Monday, June 9, that she has been selected as one 15 recipients of a 10-year leadership fellowship from the United Church of Christ. The UCC Pension Boards developed the “Next Generation Leadership Initiative” to encourage and support excellence in pastoral leadership nationwide. Dozens of Union church members joined Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and representative Rita Smart has he signed House bill 175 into law today. HB 175 supports affordable housing and the Kentucky Housing Authority. Gov. Beshear signed the bill at Silver Creek senior housing. Mayor Connelly, Rev. Kent and Rev.
