In Thin Places: Celtic Worship Aug. 10, 17, 24, 31!

All through the remaining Sunday’s in August join in a celebration of Celtic Christianity, ancient and contemporary. Celtic Spirituality revolves around a deep commitment to God’s creation and to justice, healing, and the disciplines of hospitality and forgiveness. We will draw our inspiration from the Iona Community (http:/www.iona.org.uk)  based on the Isle of Iona, western Scotland.

Rev. Kent has studied there in each of his 3 sabbaticals and has incorporated many of Iona resources into previous services. Many members and friends have also traveled or worked with the Iona Community, including Betty Hibler, Michelle Tooley, Carla Gilbert, and most recently, Tom and Joy Frazier who traveled to Iona this summer. In August our pastors will help us experience the depth and breadth of our Celtic spiritual roots in four very special services.

Join us Sundays at 10:30a or at 7:00pm in Cowan Chapel!

Union Church is a proud sponsor of the Berea Celtic Festival and invites you to experience the special events planned for the 3rd weekend of August! Find out more HERE.
