Update about working with the financial consultant from Generis
At this month’s Church Council meeting it was decided to put on hold our work with Steve McSwain, our consultant from Generis. Why? Well, after two months of discussions which culminated in a meeting with Steve, Jean Boyce and me, Steve suggested we put the work on hold until Pastor Kent is here to work with us. For myself, it was a difficult decision, but I sense is the correct one.
The work we have done thus far is not lost, and has set a good foundation for continued work in 2020. We are still working to fine tune the data analysis tools that we have paid for, a very powerful tool. Putting the contract on hold will also give us the chance to have the whole congregation be a part of the decision to continue to work with the consultant, because the funds needed would be in the 2020 budget.
